The Dolce & Gabanna show in Milan, featuring the Spring 2017 designs was major success not only for the designers, but for the millions of social media influencers throughout the globe. Social media influencers such as Cameron Dallas, Sofia Richie, and Juanpa Zurita strutted down the catwalk and they all looked absolutely divine! It is 2017 and we are currently living in a digital age. The fact that all of these people were able to make their way up onto the social pyramid just by making simple six second clips is very remarkable. Who would have thought that these people would be one day walking the Dolce & Gabanna show in Milan? Nowadays, people over the age of 40 believe that all the hype over social media is nothing short of ridiculous or peculiar, when in reality it's really not! This only shows us that one individual can truly make a difference and has the opportunity to make great things happen for themselves and others as well.

Happy New Year everybody! It is finally 2017 and I truly have high hopes for many things: actually achieving my resolutions, new experiences, and new innovative trends in the fashion industry. Now do not get me wrong, 2016 had some great returning trends like sporting chic chokers or those retro pairs of Adida Superstar sneakers that have been sported by celebrities such as Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner, to name a few. Come along as we go in-depth with some of the not-so-chic fashion trends of 2016. Disclaimer: These are just my personal preferences! If you love these trends, then you do you and MAKE them chic! ;) 1. Oversized Chokers Chokers that are intricate and precise are very chic, but when the choker is literally choking you, um not so chic! 2. Mom Jeans Come on, fashionistas/fashionistos! It is 2017. not 1987! Now don't get me wrong that 80's was great era, just not in the aspect of fashion. 3. Chunky Ankle Boots The only one who can truly master the look of chunky ankle boots is the one and only, front-man of the 1975, Matty Healy. 4. Wedge Sneakers Some things in life go great together: mac and cheese, Ross and Rachel, mozzarella sticks and marinara sauce, but wedges and sneakers? No. no, no, and just no. 5. Overly Distressed Jeans It is honestly so mind-baffling to me that people actually pay top dollar for jeans with so many holes in them, when actually, it should be half-off since you are literally receiving half a pair of jeans! Need I say more? 6. Ruffles, Ruffles, and Ruffles Ruffles can be very chic in the sense that they are worn minimally chic. This is when the saying "less is more" is actually very true! And to be honest. the only ruffles I like are the potato chips! :)
