I have always loved award shows, but Sunday night's Golden Globes was an award show like no other. This past year, many women have been immensely brave enough to come forward and share their traumatic experiences dealing with sexual harassment. It is no secret that sexual harassment and abuse, marginalization, and underrepresentation are widespread issues currently in the industry. On January 1st of 2018, a movement known as Time's Up was launched by four incredible women known as Michelle Kydd Lee, Maha Dakhil, Christy Haubegger, and Hylda Queally. Time's Up is an amazing movement that has raised over fifteen million dollars to support low-income women who are simply seeking justice for the pain and suffering of the sexual harassment and abuse that they have endured in the workplace. This award show really was like no 0ther in the sense that, almost each and every actor wore black in support of the movement, simply making a powerful statement within the ensembles donned tonight. If there is one thing I am passionate about, it is feminism. Whether it be for equal pay and fighting the gender pay gap (which yes, is a very real thing), the inclusion of all women and those marginalized, or fighting against sexual harassment and abuse, feminism is important. Hell, I even tried to start a feminism club at my (Catholic) high school, which obviously, didn't work out, but I tried! I even made a powerpoint and everything, which you can read here: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1iZMkj8yYq2lZBJ4QT5laHucz3a2mWIsss0SkScIh6F4/edit?usp=sharing
Now take the two things I am most passionate about, fashion and feminism, and I am a very happy girl. In all honesty, I thought everyone looked great, but here are my top ten favorite looks:
1. Viola Davis

1. Viola Davis
Now this might sound like an exaggeration, but I swear it's not! I actually shrieked when I saw Viola Davis walk across the stage. Davis looked like a modern-day Holly Golightly tonight in her own unique and glamorous glory, donning a long black gown with a sweetheart neckline from Brandon Maxwell with some classic pearls and black clutch.
2. Sarah Jessica Parker
Sarah Jessica Parker looked absolutely stunning in a black lace and satin dress from Dolce & Gabanna along with a pair of black pumps with embellishments from The SJP collection- Parker's high-end shoe collection. The main reason why I fell in love with Parker's look was mostly because that is definitely something you'd see Carrie Bradshaw wearing!
3. Gal Gadot
3. Gal Gadot
Gal Gadot dressed like a true wonder woman tonight, donning a black tailored blazer and gown with an open slit, alongside some black pumps and jewelery from Tiffany and Co.
4. Millie Bobby Brown

MBB definitely owned the red carpet tonight, donning a black poufy minidress from Calvin Klein, glitter silver kitten heels, and some jewelery from the Parisian brand, Repossi.
5. Salma Hayek and Ashley Judd
5. Salma Hayek and Ashley Judd
Salma Hayek and Ashley Judd, both major advocates for Time's Up, graced the red carpet hand-in-hand donning two beautiful black gowns. Hayek wore a stunningly-fitting black floor-length gown with a silver metallic clutch, while Judd donned a stuning black ballgown with a low V-neck, lace detailing, and embroidery at the bottom of the gown. Judd finshed the look off with a pair of dangle earrings, an emerald stone ring, and a classic red lip. One major trend on the carpet last night was emerald jewelery, which signified the idea of hope.
6. Dakota Johnson

Aside from her amazing acceptance speech, Kidman also made an amazing entrance wearing an elegant black gown, complete with a lace bodice and flowing train from Givenchy.
9. Diane Kruger
9. Diane Kruger
If anyone looked magical on the red carpet, it was definitely Diane Kruger! Kruger donned a chic black gown with a cape that features a beautifully beaded trim as well as a midriff cutout from Prada. She finshed the look off with a clutch from Judith Leiber.
10. Alicia Vikander

Alicia Vikander exemplified true class on the red carpet donning an elegant black victorian-style gown that featured a high neckline as well as an open back from Louis Vuitton.
As this piece comes to an end, I would like to say just one thing, and one thing only: Never stop fighting for what you believe in, despite what people will say. That is all.
Thanks for reading and have a great day!
